Audience: Grades 7+. Program designed to separate media hype from reality, to help young people make the right choices. Teens share feelings and beliefs about their own bodies. Topics include eating disorders, steroids, self-esteem.
Audience: High school students. Explores some of the issues facing young men today as they struggle to define themselves amidst the flood of media-tenerated images of male physical perfection. Young patients grapple with problems such as steroid abuse, eating disorders, exercise addiction.
Audience: High school students. Teenage girls (and some boys) from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and a range of socio-economic status and body sizes discuss the media : societal pressures to have a certain body size. They also discuss eating disorders, exercising, dieting.
Booklet includes a personal questionaire to assess satisfaction with body image. Includes some discussion of bingeing and purging, deals with male and female body image, and different societal pressures for both sexes. Audience: high school students
