Designed to help children and teens achieve a sense of self-respect amidst the media and peer pressure adolescents encounter as they become aware of their changing bodies. "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not." Can be used in teaching about eating disorders.
Audience: Grades 7+. Program designed to separate media hype from reality, to help young people make the right choices. Teens share feelings and beliefs about their own bodies. Topics include eating disorders, steroids, self-esteem.
Audience: High school students. Teenage girls (and some boys) from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and a range of socio-economic status and body sizes discuss the media : societal pressures to have a certain body size. They also discuss eating disorders, exercising, dieting.
