An animated video that uses a humorous, non-lecturing approach to educate adolescents about personal hygiene. An animated cartoon in which two teenagers discover that life is sweeter when 'all of their bits are nice'. Covers basic principles of personal hygiene. Intended for young people of 13+ in part or full-time education, youth groups etc. and for adults at work or in the community.
Keynote speakers, including Dr. Ron Labonte of the University of Ottawa, emphasized the importance of population health and attendees participated in series of dialogue and strategy sessions on topics such as leadership, child development, injury prevention, and healthy eating.
This presentation provides an opportunity to learn about the many components that create food security in a community. Currently, there are eight local Community Food Action Initiative committees across the health authority working to address this key determinant of health.
This video was developed to inspire schools or school districts to foster healthy eating habits among students both in and outside of the school. It covers topics on nutritional education, school lunch periods, vending machines, and fund raising.
